Terms of service
These are the terms for using Rumo Recap on the web and in the app. They are written to be read. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them.
What Rumo Recap is
Rumo Recap (“Rumo”, “the service”) lets you share a link (a reel, a thread, a video, a page) and get back a note: a summary, key points and the things mentioned, with a suggested folder. Your notes are stored in your account, can be exported as Markdown or JSON, and can be read by AI tools you connect through API keys you create. The service is provided by Alphors (“we”, “us”).
Your account
You sign in with your email address, using a one-time link or a password. You are responsible for keeping access to that inbox, for everything done through your account, and for the API keys you create: anyone holding a key can read your library, so treat keys like passwords and revoke any you no longer use. You must be at least 13 years old to use Rumo.
The links you share
- Only share links you have the right to share and view. Do not use Rumo to get around paywalls, logins or a creator’s privacy settings.
- When you save a link, it and its public text are sent to an AI provider to write your note, once you have agreed to that in the app. See the privacy policy.
Acceptable use
- Do not scrape, bulk-download, or use automated tooling to flood the service, probe it, or resell it.
- Do not use Rumo to store or spread unlawful, harassing or infringing content, or to try to access another person’s account or notes.
- Do not reverse-engineer the service or interfere with its security.
If we see this kind of use we may limit, suspend or close the account.
Notes are generated by AI and can be wrong
Notes are produced automatically by AI from the public text around a link (caption, title, transcript where one is public). They can miss things, misread a joke, or state something that is not in the original. Treat a note as a pointer, not a source: the original is always one tap away, and you should check it before relying on anything that matters, such as a recipe quantity, a dose, a price or a claim about a person.
If a note is inaccurate, offensive or harmful, use Report on the note, or email zuraiz@alphors.com.
Third-party content
The links you save point to content made and hosted by other people on other platforms. We do not host, copy or control that content, we never download the media file, and we are not responsible for it, for its availability, or for the platform’s own terms. Your note and your highlights belong to you; the original belongs to its author.
Price and purchases
- Rumo is free. The free plan includes a number of saves each week that refills automatically; we may change that number with notice in the app. There is nothing to buy today.
- If we introduce paid plans later, we will say so in the app and on this page before anything is charged. Purchases made inside the iPhone and Android apps will use Apple In-App Purchase or Google Play Billing and will also be governed by Apple’s or Google’s terms, including their refund policies.
Your content and our software
You keep ownership of the links you save and the notes made for you, and you can export or delete them at any time. You give us only the permission we need to store them, generate notes from them, show them back to you and serve them to the tools you connect. Rumo’s software, design and name are ours.
Ending things
You can stop using Rumo at any time and delete your account in the app or on the web (Settings → Delete account), or by emailing zuraiz@alphors.com. Deletion removes your account and all of your saves; see Delete your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or close the service with reasonable notice, in which case we will give you time to export your library.
Disclaimers
Rumo is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every link will produce a note. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, for lost data you did not export, or for anything arising from third-party content or an AI-generated note. Nothing here limits rights that consumer law gives you and that cannot be waived.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the place where Alphors is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless the consumer law where you live gives you the right to rely on its laws or courts instead.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For meaningful changes we will tell you in the app or by email before they take effect and update the date at the top. If you keep using Rumo after that date, the new terms apply.
